Ian Garside 

Ian discovered dance through classical theatre, later training at Laban, London & P.A.R.T.S., Brussels.

Since 2010 he has worked with Punchdrunk (Shanghai), Liquid Loft/ Chris Haring (Vienna) and the seminal DV8 Physical Theatre (London), among many others.

Simultaneously he shares his passion for pedagogy by teaching classes and workshops internationally, to all profile of student.

Since the Covid pandemic Ian has embarked on his own journey as a creator, producing the works Hasta el Infinito y Más Allá (To infinity and beyond) (2021), Sorites (2022), Almagre (2022), DAMA (2023), David & Goliat (2023), Azahar (2024) and No me lleves a misa (2024) among other creative projects.

As well as his work as a performer, creator and educator, Ian collaborates in the initiative of his partner Cristina Pérez Sosa, peso producciones, realising cultural projects with a focus on dance and performing arts.

For two years 2022 - 2023 Ian assumed the presidency of PiedeBase, the association of movement artists of the Canary Islands. In 2024 he moved to the role of treasurer.
